JOB DESCRIPTION
Subject to qualifications already acquired the following work would be required from a fully qualified Marine Engineer. Other than for temporary staff, training will be given in any of the skills needed below if necessary.
To carry out all allocated jobs as specified by the owner
To join an established small team of Boatyard Assistants with their own complimentary skills
To set up a new Marine Engineering Department from scratch
To include working on small diesels & petrol, stern drives, inboard & outboard engines
To include work on Ribs, Power boats & yachts up to approximately 12m
To include fault finding and accurate diagnosis of problems
To include preparing estimates for customers and insurance companies
To include ordering parts and stock as required
To include carrying out repairs & replacements as appropriate in a reasonable time span
To include providing completed and comprehensive work sheets for invoicing
Duties will include carrying out other boatyard activities as and when required
The applicant will require experience on all marine engine makes. Additional training will be arranged where necessary.
Candidate will be required to work with the rest of the team, keeping them informed and ensuring that all work is completed with the minimum of interruption.
To use their skills to compliment the other services already supplied by the rest of the team.
You will be required to liaise with Boat Owners directly, keeping them informed and advised about their engine problems, costs and completion timetable
Candidate must be confident, well motivated, and able to use their initiative and enjoy a challenge.
You must enjoy working in a small boatyard business with a good customer base, with a small friendly well motivated team and joining the joint effort to keep the Boat Owners afloat and happy.
Hours:
Contract Hours, 44.5 hour week is worked from 8.00am to 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch weekdays and 8.00am to 12.30pm Saturdays.
Please note whilst these are the Contractual Hours with the agreement of all staff, subject to work loads, during winter and summer periods hours have been cut to 40 hours a week, Saturdays being worked on a rota.
Holidays
The holiday year begins on the 1st January and ends on the 31st December each year. Annual leave entitlement is 20 working days during a complete holiday year. In addition Bank Holidays and the period between Christmas and the first working date of each New Year, whatever that may be are allowed.

Beijing Sailing Center is the only sailing school in China offering courses to suit anyone following international guidelines. We are recruiting seasonal and full time watersports instructors. The skills that we seek are dinghy sailing, yachting, kayaking, windsurfing and raft building. Applications from multi-activity instructors will be more successful, especially with regard to year-round positions.
During our summer season from May to October, we are situated on the coast adjacent to Beijing, while during our winter season from November to April we operate in tropical Southern China and we offer our members the opportunity to go on sailing holidays at select locations around the world. Your initial contract will start from late August or early September and run through until the end October, however, subject to your performance and our opportunities, that may well be extended through the winter season and beyond.

Main Responsibilities
Setting the standards for the center and her staff. Challenging the staff and on water activities to excel. Caring for the customers and their experience at the center. Organising the course schedule, allocation of resources to students. (Chief and Assistant Chief Instructor only)

Carry out boat, equipment and centre maintenance, in order that the centre and member equipment and environment is maintained in good order. Keeping a record of damage to boats, equipment and the centre.
Greeting visitors, whether in person, by email or by phone, attending to their questions, showing them around the sailing centre, generally being hospitable and encouraging people to learn to sail. As required, interfacing with the local community, expats and membership to promote sailing.
Carry out safety duties, including but not limited to operating a safety boat or watch tower. Supervision of children, when unaccompanied children are present, both in the centre and overnight at their hotel. Watching out for potential hazards and risk in and around the sailing centre and either, in the case of an apparent danger, taking action immediately to address the problem or reporting the potential problem.
Attending to sailing-related administration in a timely fashion, including but not limited to qualification records and certificates.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Sea-Fire are a global leader in the design and manufacture of marine fire suppression. An opening has developed for an individual with a marine background, to assist the Operations Manager with the day to day running of the company.
The role will be varied to include sales administration, quote production, quality, product inspection of goods in and out, technical support along with looking after customer relations.
The ideal candiate will have a marine background, with
good engineering knowledge
preferably with electrical comprehension
